‘AMAZATHON 2026’ is Expect Amazing’s sponsored reading fundraiser designed to help schools enhance their library provision while encouraging a lifelong love of reading.

As 2026 has been designated the National Year of Reading, AMAZATHON offers a timely and meaningful opportunity for schools to celebrate reading for pleasure, particularly in the lead-up to World Book Day.

AMAZATHON has now run successfully for several years and continues to deliver excellent outcomes for schools, pupils, and PTAs.

How AMAZATHON works:

•    Schools select the dates on which they would like to run AMAZATHON   
•    Expect Amazing sets up the school’s fundraising page on Superkind   
•    Pupils take part in a Sponsored Reading Bingo, completing enjoyable reading activities 
•    Children seek sponsorship from friends and family for the tasks they complete   
•    Funds raised are used to purchase new library books from Expect Amazing at exclusive discounted prices

Fundraising Levels & Outcomes:

•    Level 1 – £250 to £499 raised: Schools receive discounted library books plus every child in the schools gets a free bookmark   

•    Level 2 – £500 to £999 raised:  School received discounted books for the library plus every child in the school gets a new book to take home (60p contribution per book will be deducted from the amount raised).    

•    Level 3 – £1,000+ raised

Schools gain access to an expanded curated book selection, allowing for significant investment in their library, alongside the book contribution for each child. PLUS the schools gets a surprise box of £100 (RRP) worth of books from Expect Amazing


📚 Please note: participant books are delivered after the final order is placed (within two weeks of the event finishing).
